Thanks, Jason.

I'm hitting the road for a few days. Astoria, fort Stevens, maybe central Oregon.

Almost done packing. I'm loving this upper shelf.

Yikes do you drive that thing with the knives only secured by the magnet holding them?

What is the wiring on the roof for? And did you buy the window guards or make, if you made them...you did a great job. Also, I'm not sure I would even come close to fitting in that hammock on the rear door...lol. I like that upper shelf, for sure.

Have a safe trip and take plenty of pictures.

Brian.

Haha I took the mini hammock from my kitchen.. it's for holding fruit and produce. Thought it might be useful as a shelf while cooking. Pots, pans, food

the window guards and upper shelf I opted to purchase... they are Mantec from the U.K.

As as for the knives, it works so far. If they fall off I'll store em. No biggie

wiring on roof is for solar panel. It's not mounted up there yet, I'll put it on the roof when we get to camp. I might get in a rack in the near future so decided against mounting it. The solar keeps the fridge/freezer running 24/7 and plus gives me a little extra juice. About 5 amp hours peak sunlight, as low as 1a in clouds

But what happens when you get in a wreck and the knives fly towards the back of your head?

Default Pennsylvania Trip

So this is over the past couple days, sorry I had the equivalent of dial up internet to deal with.

Left at 1am Thursday morning from Sanford, NC, about 35 minutes south of Raleigh , and went to Titusville, PA. All in all ended up being a 1,800 mile road trip. Took the Rover because my wife wanted the extra room and the Volvo needs rotors and pads. So after an overnight drive got there around 11am Thursday and got to visit with my family that hadn't even got to meet my son. Was actually shocked at how well the rover did on the highway. First tank was 14.9 and second tank up was 16mpg. Once we got off the interstates though found out how much the cruise control hates inclines. I couldn't tell you how many times the Rover decided it needed to be at 4,000rpm just to cruise up a hill. But anyways, the rover did great on the road trip. The only hiccups were a headlight burnt out, replaced that and the passenger windshield wiper plastic bull**** clip decided to brake today on the ride home. Spent $300 in gas but got to finally take a family vacation in the rover.

Perks my son got to hang out with his cousins in a Vegas Casino themed room, went to a Safari Bar with a ton of Mounted animals and people actually though my rover was part of the bars exhibits.
It rained the entire time we were there and apparently has been really wet in the north western corner of PA. So the dirt roads we went down might of well been off roading. It was weird though being in the rover, everybody thought it was either a super expensive luxury ride or a off-road race truck.

Anyways hope you enjoy the pics.

Default New Shovel Mounts

Fabricated some new shovel mounts for the safari rack. Couldn't find any that I liked, or that mounted the way I wanted them to and where.

I hate living in the city, this is the only off-roading i've done in months!

Added the secret weapon/homemade CDL linkage assembly.

Worked great.

"thesoundguru", great pictures of your trip, and it looks like you were in Amish country...by the amount of the horse and buggy tracks.

Started her up for the first time in about a month a couple days ago. Seemed to run smooth, but got super hot so I took it and parked it until I get another chance to look at it. :/
