"Myrtle" is daily drive truck around Atlanta but I want to take off road one day and not go too crazy with it. If I break it I'd never hear the end of it from the wife.
I'm slowly getting used to driving it a couple hours away from homebase going to estate sales while testing it's ability and durability .

lol.. I can relate! 'Oooo.. a sale 2 hours away.. shall I risk it? Do I feel like gambling today..' You can pack a lot of treasures into a Rover. "Bertha" is my daily beast and I take her to estate sales and auctions all the time. There was an antique dealer that passed away a couple of years ago and he had so much stock that it was spread out over five separate sales over the duration of a month. By the time the last 2 sales came round, the company selling the stuff was making deals and giving it away. I walked away with a Rover full for $100 on the first sale and the second sale was.... jokingly, 50% off. So you guessed it.. $50. I sold over $8k worth of smalls from those 2 sales alone. Not a lot embarrasses me.. i'm not afraid to look like something out of the Beverly Hillbillies driving my beautiful beast to parts unknown.. seriously.. I had stuff sticking out the windows haha..

I've been trying to treat her nice this year (body work, new headliner (which my husband accidentally marked up with pen this morning..new lug nuts, tires, etc.). She deserves it but I let her down today. For all of my years of "abuse" she sure has stuck by me through thick and thin. I don't know what I'd do without her.

Stretch it's legs the Mid-Atlantic Rally is the first weekend of October, nice road trip, camping and some wheeling.
