Installed second Extinct inline t stat. Now both discos have them and don't climb above 183-185 regardless of ambient temp or driving situation.

Changed out a noisy, failed exhaust manifold to y pipe gasket. Nuts came off easy with the impact. Only hiccup was the stud closest to the black came out withe nut seized on.
Stupid me did not order studs with the new gaskets and nuts. Went down to Advance thinking hey it's just a stud right?

Guy looked at me like I had three eyes once I said "Land Rover". He game me a stud the same thread and size, so I said, I'll try it. Welp, the LR ones are shorter on the manifold side so it won't completely tighten all the way .
just ordered new studs from lucky8.

I'm curious, which lines were they? I'm having an SAI issue on my '04 too. Thanks!

Removed my driver seat and started deep cleaning that area. Got a really nice replacement in the same color. Found a XXXL tshirt tag under the seat which may explain why the seat had zero padding left. Once the seats are done starting on the headliner and interior trim bits.

I had a serious oil leak, could not keep the oil level stable. I hosed down the underside - which everyone should do- and cleaned it up. Spent about 20 minutes cleaning inspecting, etc.

Turns out he leak is from the oil filter gasket. I believe. Wix filter, surprisingly Anyone have any idea how much oil I will lose pulling just the filter off?

i would think everything in the filter and any residual oil in the upper engine that haven't drained back into the pan.

if you are looking for liquid measurements, well, i'm not sure.

While frame rot is no joke, it's not necessarily a death sentence. My frame was just about as bad as it gets. Worked with a fabrication shop this week to have new pieces welded in, and then passed inspection this morning.

In the middle of installing DAP big blue 3" springs, fox shocks and a fresh set of 265/75/16 K02s on the green disco. Will post pics once completed, hopefully tonight but probably tomorrow morning. Old suspension was stock and possibly original shocks that have been pulled have been completely toast.
