Submitted the '00 Disco 2 to BaT, and got approved. Just too much stuff in the driveway, and working on the Samurai project now... be interested to see what transpires.
.... I read up on it and decided to buy a reman transmission computer, it was like $40.
Hello, What's the difference between a "used" transmission computer I see on ebay, etc., and the "reman" computer you bought? Is it the same thing or is the reman'd re-programmed somehow? Thanks!
Got my new to me 2004 back on the road after 2 years. Had a 4.6 from a P38 swapped in, cats, fuel emission pump and passed CA smog this week! On the way home from the shop passed another red Disco on the freeway and showed some mutual love. Pretty cool!

Not 100% sure - but it details more info on the site. I think they check the soldier joints and inspect for water damage. There’s also probably some other QC process where the plug it into something that lets it run and flags any issues.
I’m not sure that’s what they did, but I own an electronics business and that’s what we do when we “reman” something. Basically means it’s been inspected and repaired as necessary to original specification.
I know.....that my heads are not cracked/broken/leaking/or damaged. That being said....not leaks from the radiator/catch/hoses or return line....
‘So why am I still smelling antifreeze? I am afraid to drive this as I come to end of my rebuild.....
Reasons why I haven’t shown what I have done to the gurl.......

Dumb question, but when you check the hoses, radiator and return, did you run the truck and look at all connections for seepage?
also any spilled coolant on a hot engine part can take a few days to burn completely off.

are you sure the throttle body heater isn't seeping? a very small drip there can be very hard to see as it lands on the hot valve cover and steams off.
