Fortunately for me I'm about 8 months out from building a new 2 car garage to replace to dilapidated 1.5 I have now. Still waiting to see what happens in the next couple months. If they were to offer some analog parts in place of some digital components and reduce the price, it would go a long way for me. Love the defender but I'm a bit concerned taking this on some overlanding trips and have something digital go down and be SOL.

My order was placed before yours and was a newly created order (Mid March)..many people have touted they placed an order and got it quickly when in actuality many people took over an existing retail order...its possible that yours moved up quicker because of certain options like the smaller screen, no HUD etc.
No idea what the "right time" refers to. Being that I am at 6 months from order to delivery I cant understand why you think it should have taken three months or how ordering later in the game somehow is better...

What did you order? I picked it up today and it has everything I ordered. It has the larger screen, front and rear locking differentials, clear sight mirror, adaptive cruise control, tow package, cold weather package, etc. I did not get the smoked tail lights which is causing a delay for some.

Congrats on taking delivery today.

I ordered an XS with the options you indicated. My build was delayed almost a month from the original build date that first showed showed up in mid April. I presumed it was due to some option ordered but nobody could tell me.

How long was your Defender at port? I know some with X models have had extremely long wait times because of the taillight issue but I have an X Dynamic that has been at the Brunswick, GA port since the 8/17. I wasn't expecting this and my dealer has no info.

Deposit/order date 03/30.
Build date 7/13.

My XD HSE was in port for a week. Ship arrived on a Thursday and on a truck transport a week later on Friday morning. Arrived at dealer 75 miles away by 930am and I showed up to check it out at 1pm. :-)
Per the order schedule, the delivery allotted two weeks at port, for documentation, customs, transport scheduling, etc.

My 110 has been at port (Baltimore) since 8/20. Dealer says the accessories (Wheel Arch Extensions ) need to be installed which slows it down. It's due per delayed schedule this Friday. Fingers crossed.

That's good info...I have some options that maybe be slowing mine down as well then. Raised air intake and classic mud flaps? I wasn't sure where they would be installed.

I have the raised air intake, classic mudflaps, wheel arch extensions, and rear scuffplate as accessory options on mine. Only the raised intake is listed as a port install and the rest are dealer installations - I confirmed with the parts dept that they have all of those waiting for me when my Defender hopefully arrives in ~10 days.
