That's the same as the one I showed. 96" wide. Quite the fatty.
I can see down the sides just fine with mirrors and cameras. That's what was puzzling me. I guess more vision is no bad thing but the cameras are a handy alternative. Seem to work just fine.

Mine is also 8ft wide. However when I drove it home it had zero cameras and all I had were my stock mirrors. I could see nothing on the passenger side and had to change lanes basically blind. We have since installed a rear camera to the trailer. I enjoy the use of cameras but I felt the simplicity of side mirrors next to my pre-existing ones minimized my check points. The rear camera will mostly be used backing up.

I would like to know how you use the cameras to see down the sides? I tried it but I couldn’t see far enough for me to do it safely. Is there a setting that I have yet to find? I am going to get a garmin camera for the trailer so I can use it with my overland gps without having to run wires to it. Just need power and it’s supposedly good for at least 50ft trailers

I don’t have cameras that can see down the side either but there are cameras that can be installed on the side of the trailer. My trailer is prewired for one on the back but they also have these below.

All Defenders have cameras that will show you down the sides of your trailer. No exceptions. Standard on all trims and all markets.

they may not meet your needs but I find them to be very useful.

Default I tried it

I did try the camera now that I remember but I felt I couldn’t see enough to safely change lanes with them. So that is why I got the Defender 3D mirror brackets. They have been great in my opinion. Have not lost a mirror yet.

You can see along the side of your trailer with the factory defender camera while driving down the road? Can you send a picture of that image? I only recalled seeing the front corners of my trailer and that was while backing up. Ive only towed it once so far. But I may have overlooked a camera selection that provided adequate visibility so additional info would be great!
