various threads on that subject here in the Defender section. These two edit: few are good starting points. Most install below E-Brake handle. I hope these links help:

can you share where you got your extended mirrors? Do you like them? Just towed home my 26ft Rockwood Ultralite and couldn’t see anything on the right side of the trailer.

Default Defender 3D

Defender 3D is the make of the mounts. They are great I have put about 15k miles on them so far and not one problem. I got the mirrors on Amazon and had them cut and extended about 4 inches to make them wider for our American trailers. You can’t go wrong with them they are that good.

Unsolicited testimony-the 110 is an excellent tow rig in any trim. I've been towing trailers for 40 years, and always believed that I needed a 3/4 ton truck or better in order to ensure the rig not only had the towing capacity but also the mass and braking to handle the load when things go wrong.

My P300 tows like a bigger truck. My loads are smaller than ones I've pulled in the past, but my 18' boat and my 20' car hauler tow easily and comfortably. I just rescued my Mini from Renton, WA (splited coolant hose) down 405 and I5 to the ferry dock in rush hour traffic. No sweat.

Thank you for the info! I ordered the mounting bracket and Milenco Grand Aero Platinum mirrors. The 3D site mentioned ordering extended arms and you mentioned extending yours. How did you extend yours? Like welded more on? Thank you again!

Default Yes

Sorry for the delay in responding but I had a ruff week working in Texas. Yes my welder cut the middle section and added 4 inch’s to it and welded it back together and painted it. It was like $75. If I remember correctly.

No worries!! It worked out. I’d messaged the mirror company and Defender3D just to clarify the length of the Grand Aero Platinum, which do come with the 41cm arms already. Thank you for your inputs! I’m really happy with the total results.

I towed this trailer this weekend.

Not sure I see any need for the mirror extenders.

The cameras and mirrors combine to give a very clear view of your sides.

seems like a solution to a non-existent problem.

perhaps it’s a legal requirement in certain countries/states. Otherwise they’re a redundant addition/expense.

Really depends on the width of the trailer. My 25' Airstream is much wider than the Defender and needs a mirror extension to get a reasonable and undistorted view of what's alongside and behind.

Default How wide

My trailer is 8ft wide so I need the extension to see clearly down the sides.
