I have MY25 D350 90 X-Dynamic HSE and it has the soft close rear door. To get the button on the remote to pop open the rear door you have to use the gap tool to change the settings.

 

Gap tool? Similar to obd tool?

You can use the GAP tool to program the back door to open with the remote. There is also a soft close kit you can buy to add it, but as others have said, it's a novelty more than anything else.

 

As stated above, soft close was nla on MY 23+. It can be activated via gap tool and also by a few people and companies that offer the service in house or while on the road. Also bear in mind that there are also other features that can be activated based off of model year and options. The soft close can be retrofitted as stated above. The fact the octa possibly has the soft close is pretty cool
