Read this post and when consulting the owners manual that is what JLR recommends, the Havoline XLC. After striking out at several auto parts stores, went to Havoline’s web page, which is actually Chevron. There was a link to find a retailer and it listed O’Reilly’s. After driving there they claimed to have never carried it. Called Havoline directly and explained the situation and was informed that Havoline XLC is discontinued. There is a listing on Amazon, but is only sold in cases of 6 one gallon containers at $146+. Not even sure if that is legit since Havoline claims it is discontinued. Hopefully not a bogus knockoff. Went with the Zerex Dex-Cool, which by the way was not easy to locate either. Finally found it at NAPA; Advance Auto, Autozone, nor O’Reilly’s carry it either.

Agreed. I was at the dealer and they confirmed that 23+ is pink stuff. NOT the orange Zerex stuff posted above. I had to return the bottle to Amazon. I've yet to buy the pink stuff. If you do please let me know what brand you found that works well. For what its worth the dealer told me to go ahead and buy whatever pink coolant I want, they dont care if its JLR's branded stuff or not.

The manual for my ‘22 called for Havoline XLC, (see screenshot) which is Orange, and is what is known as OAT, Organic Acid Technology. Pink is also based on OAT platform. Havoline XLC is no longer made, which I found out by calling Chevron/Havoline, so I went with Zerex, it’s equivalent.

Yes. The Zerex is correct for my MY22. Nothing untoward with using it. There are plenty of compatible coolants from which to choose. You don't need Unicorn-tear sourced Havoline or dealer stuff at their special pricing. My coolant is orange so I use orange. There are comparable options available now for all Defenders. Once they meet the spec they are good.

I’ve been using “PEAK All Vehicles”. It’s orange and mechanic says it’s fine.
