After nearly 10 months of ownership I've never tried this outlet but today plugged in my solar battery to test for an upcoming trip. No current coming out of the outlet!
Obviously the engine was running as I figured it had to be for this to work. There must be an inverter somewhere inside the vehicle that powers this. The cigarette lighter on the opposite side underneath the integrated air compressor is working fine and all other electrics seem fine. Taking off the rear cargo space fuse box panel and looking through the documentation I can't find any mention of a fuse or breaker to reset.
Anyone run into this problem and have a fix?
Any chance you can provide part number if you can see any from the flap or if its easy enough to access from the inside?
@rakusak I've attached an image of the parts book. As you can see, the socket itself is seperate from the cover and the screw.
Here are the parts numbers, categorised by region:
- EU 230V: LR099092
- US 110V: LR099093
- UK 230V: LR099096
- China 230V: LR099095
From looking up the UK part number, I believe this is the same part that's also used on the Range Rover Sport.
I haven't figured out wiring yet. Hopefully someone else is able to help! Best case scenario, it's fits the same port as the cigarette lighter.
Anyone know how to retrofit this? I have a 2020 P400 with Offroad pack but no domestic outlet in rear... the driver side has the cigarette port but passenger side is sans domestic outlet.
Probably easier to retrofit an capable pure sinus inverter ?

Yeah after talking to my dealer, he told me that attempting to retrofit this would void my warranty. And tbh voiding a warranty for a single 180w socket isn't worth it. So I'm thinking like you, to put an EcoFlow/Jackery/Bluetti power station under the boot floor space, where there's usually just a ton of styrofoam. However I have a defender 130 with 3 rows, and I'm not sure how to remove/lift up my third row to access the empty void space under the third row.
Not sure how this would void the entire warranty... perhaps if something went wrong with a relate electrical system, but if your front suspension gave way due to a faulty part, it should still be covered.
Should be plug and play if all the wiring is in the loom. Plug and play would not void anything, I working on adding it OEM. I need to signup for Topix and get the wiring diagram. Dealer should be able to add it no problem, the air compressor can be added.
