Mine has done that in the past when I tried to do multiple changes at one time. For some reason it would let me combine some changes but not others. Not sure if you were doing more than one at a time but is a thought. I would have also said try updating like has been said.

Approach Lock and Unlock took two resets of Pivi for me, the first one the menu choices showed up and the second, they became functional. Since then, I've just been in the habit of doing two resets when I make a change.

Advanced tow assist does not show up right away and took several sleep and reboot cycles. Harry Dan suggested the below info as a way to bypass that need. Might be useful if your are needing more than one reset of the PIVI.

One thing that you mentioned was not getting it to show up straight away, if you are doing an activation that involves adding something to the Pivi screen you can always reboot Pivi after the car has gone to sleep but you can also run a programme on the IID tool. I do this after most activations now and can get things to show up straight after.

Menu>Service Test>IDMA>Allow Central Configuration Data Learning

Menu>Service Test>IDMA>Allow Central Configuration Data Learning doesn't exist on my GAP application. I'm wondering if it's because I don't have an IID, just the physical gauges with the small screen between. I know who to ask!
GAP Response: "
Some cars dont have that function, normal."

Well after getting the helpful information here and getting a very prompt reply to my inquiry from Patrick at Gap.

The conclusion is

RTFM you nitwit.

I updated firmware and turned off my Carplay.

Lo and behold. The first of many activations. My first foray into this sort of thing. Huzzah!

I got Dynamic mode activated. Not sure I will ever use it or be able to appreciate the differences but it's there.

I thought there was a cool red hue to the screen in dynamic mode but not the case. I know I've seen some folks with the red screen in Dynamic.

I don't see where to make any adjustments to suspension etc. I thought this was a thing too. Maybe just a V8 thing.

I put the 5 items that need adjusting in a favorites tab for dynamic so I can tweak as needed without having to refind them all.

That image shows nothing set as it should be, those are all the default settings without dynamic. If they are set correctly, dynamic shows up when you use the HVAC rotary, and the individual setting will be in a new “Dynamic-I” app that will show up on the app screen.

Yes those are the 5 settings listed before any changes.

I didn't realize there was a dynamic APP in Pivi.

I can select Dynamic on the TR dial. Wavy road icon and the Dash shows the Dynamic illustration and icon.
