No wonder my neck is sore. Pulled nearly half a "g" on that last trip to Safeway.

This is bloody hilarious. Best get myself a spoiler and body kit pronto. Gotta work on those lap-times.

I’ve never been one to muck with vehicle
firmware (despite being in IT engineering for 25 years) but that G screen is enough to make me go buy one of these tools lol. Just can’t let my insurance company see that screen!! 😂😂

Default Not yet working

Hello everyone,
I've been a long time reader here. I've just picked up my new 2023 p300 Defender and I have been trying to get GAP IID to work. I've registered and updated the firmware and I am able to see the supported and unsupported lists. I started out trying to do the 007 screen. The procedure looks like it's working until the end when it says CCF version is not yet supported. The PIVI updated a couple days before I attempted to make changes. I've also double checked the GAP firmware twice. Yes, I have looked through the manuals. Any thoughts?

when was the last time you updated the GAP tool firmware? If it wasn’t since 8/29 or so, try that again.

I actually updated it two days ago. Still not able to get it to work correctly. It seems to do everything and then I get that same message every time. When I tried it for the 007 screen it looked like it had worked and then I checked back and I had not changed the value.

Ping the folks who make the tool. They are very responsive and helpful. Forgot the official website, but I'm sure Google Search will work as good for you as it does me!<g> Good luck and I'm optimistic for you.

I'm not sure if it makes any difference but I turned my Apple Carplay off after updating the firmware and all went smoothly. The instructions say to be sure there are no other bluetooth connections. Might be irrelevant but might not be.

I've added all the features on the list I want. Approach unlocking doesn't work on my MY2022 as was expected. That would be handy.
  • Global close. Very useful.
  • Fog lights can remain on with high beams (rare I use them but I prefer that they remain on with high beam)
  • Dynamic mode. Wasted on the likes of me but it's fun to look at.
  • Wi-Fi hotspot. Not sure what this brings to the party as I've no data plan for it. Do I need one? Interested to know from others what it does for them.
  • Tailgate Fob action.
  • On Demand eLift. (Not an activation as such but it's a great feature to have)
If the ACC nut ever gets cracked that's the only remaining item.

I’ve never switched off car play and I’ve had no trouble. You’re connecting Bluetooth. To the GAP tool, not the car, but if you’re using your iPhone for GAP tool, i guess it could cause issues. I use my iPad.

The Wi-Fi hotspot is very handy. If you have a device like a Wi-Fi only iPad you can hot spot off the vehicle’s cellular. I use it frequently in my Lincoln and my Defender.
