Just did some fiddling with mine tonight. Trailer assist is working, and wow is that magic. I adjusted my previous post to reflect my findings. I’m very good at backing a trailer without assist, but I would use this function to back down a launch ramp for sure.
I did some hooning around in dynamic mode on the way back from work, without the trailer. I think the acceleration and shifting is different and better in dynamic mode. I don’t think the steering feeling changes at all.
In sport mode I am not really sure what changed. If I click it over to sport and don’t up or down shift it will just hold a long time between shifts and it feels “sportier?” If that’s a thing.
When I manually shift it will tell me to up or down shift to a different gear when I’m holding the revs. Honestly I never used the manual shifter or even put it into sport mode before making the changes so I don’t have a baseline. I may take that programming out and see how things are supposed to be, then reprogram it again.
All terrain progress control would be cool to have. I haven’t seen much activity on new updates or new codes. Hopefully people are still sharing them here and on the uk forum.
Im going to play with a couple mirror settings to see if I can stop them from folding in when I lock the vehicle. It gets very icy and cold here and I’ve had mirrors freeze and break when they auto fold. It was a total pita and expensive even with diy to fix my s550 folding mirror that broke.
On my MY23.5 D90S (P300) the Dynamic mode mostly has better acceleration, sounds different and shifts become razor sharp. They are already good, but in dynamic mode it is smoother than my BMW 430i I sold last year, noticeably smoother than normal modes.
Comfigurable Mode doesn't do squat unless and until you go setup a configuration. I use it to enable both lockers on mine.
Ok, I'm late to the game. I LOVE my Defender's off-road capabilities and have played with about everything I can with reckless abandon. Hasn't bitten me yet. But, I will admit, I really haven't paid attention to Dynamic mode. If I wanted FAST, I would have stepped up for a V8. It just settled into a dim corner of my brain that Dynamic mode was there. Something I could check out later or turn on (with the GAP tool). Reading @chpsk8 's post - I'm now thinking I should at least try it out. Can someone briefly explain Dynamic mode? Like you're talking to your mom? (Ok, like your grand-dad if you want to be gender correct). I need to get back to tinkering on my Defender. The nuclear holocaust called "Summer in Texas" has kept me away from playing with my Defender. Since the weekend temps are expected to only be in the 90's (finally), I think it's time for me to return to being a shade tree mechanic (or programmer in the current world).
I've implemented Dynamic mode in my P300. It's a feature built and designed for a sports car more than a Defender IMHO. I've not really used it much.
The steering, engine and suspension have no noticeable difference between comfort and dynamic to me.
THe transmission holds shifts longer, down shifts sooner.
Stopwatch
G-Meter (suppose will tell you have many G's when you flipped over)
Lap timer
Overall for a P300 I dont find any of this very useful.... YMMV
@mattF I see you have a 2023 with the standard dash and it turned red when you implemented Dynamic Mode.
Did you change anything other than the settings here? I've got everything your Dynamic screen shows, but no red lights on the dash. I have the digital dash which different than yours and it's a 2023.5 (probably subtle differences)
I was thinking that the MultiCAN 682 setting is what changes the dash, but it didn't seem to change anything when I would toggle it on and off when programming.
I'm with you on the "probably the wrong platform to implement a race car mode on". Still a fun party trick to play with.
EUCD-129 Terrain Response Fitment, Set to "Auto Terrain Response Dynamic & Configurable Dynamic Mode"
EUCD - 245 Dynamic 1 set to “Dynamic 1 Content with Configurable Dynamic Mode Screen”
MultiCAN - 562 DynamicProgMode. Set to “Available for Selection Without Timeout”
MultiCAN -605 ConfigDynamicMode. Set to “Fitted”
MultiCAN -682 DynamicLiteMode. Set to “Available for Selection Without Timeout”
MultiCAN - 777 Ter Dyn Select In FCPB. Set to “rotary used for selection within touch screen”

The dials turning red seems to be a bit hit and miss, some people have it and some don't (like me) with exactly the same settings
Dynamic mode on a p400 is a big difference. I tend to pop it into dynamic anytime I'm on a curvy twisty road, or on the highway. I just like it much much better. It is a quite noticeable change. For lazy around town driving I leave it in whatever it defaults to, ie Comfort or Auto.
The easiest way to explain it is -- it does the same thing on the P400 that it's been doing on the 2010 to present RR's / RRS's with the 5.0 V8 SC. Literally... the same thing. If you have seat time in any supercharged v8 L320, L322, L494, L405 you'd have a good baseline reference.
What I notice:
-- Shift speeds faster (shift speed is so lazy on the P400 Defender when downshifting on highway as stock, it's like a super slushy slush box until it shifts... I find it much better in Dynamic)
-- Transmission holds gears on decel a bit longer
-- Engine revs higher in the power band before shifting
-- More responsive or 'touchy' throttle
-- Tightens up steering. BTW - Noticeably on mine, unlike an above comment on P300 which perhaps is different?
-- Tightens up adaptive suspension.
For highway drives I put everything in Dynamic but Suspension in Comfort on this screen -->

I agree with everything you said. It is noticeably different on my P400. I use mine regularly and enjoy every minute of the change.

I second this! For anyone carrying a load on the roof, try dynamic suspension! I've felt a noticeable difference in body roll when driving on the pavement with a heavily loaded rig (to and from the mall of course ).
The rest of the settings don't make any desired difference for me on my P300.
