I updated to the Pivi Pro MY25 interface but am having trouble with with the sidebar volume control. I can get it to mute the volume but not change the volume level. The volume level shows “0” regardless of the actual volume.
I’ve engaged “MultiCAN-894 Volume Soft Keys” from "Not Fitted" to "Audio Volume Soft Keys pattern 1" and changed it back to Not Fitted without improvement.
I’ve rebooted Pivi, locked the car and left it overnight, driven it over a couple of days with the setting in both Audio Volume Soft Keys pattern 1 and reverted it back to not fitted without improvement. Any suggestions? My Defender in a 23.5 (Oct 22 build date) 90 S.

Volume Soft Key works only on MY24 or above, I believe.

Default Paddle shifters

I just wanted to add my experience with paddle shifter retrofit on my 2020.

I bought a carpathian Alcantara steering wheel with paddles, but it had no steering wheel harness. I sourced the harness and changed the 2 CCF

MultiCAN-536 GearboxPaddlesInDrive - Active
MultiCAN-537 SWSGearSelectors - Fitted

No go, they would not work. I tried a pivi reset, locking the car, overnight, driving, ended up waiting a week to see if they activated, nothing. Eventually I had a new screen area of pivi settings, vehicle-convenience- “Gear shift paddles” and then it gave the option of sport only or drive and sport. It had sport selected, if I tried drive and sport it would revert back to sport only.
I found something about a DADC relearn, did that, nothing. Then I saw about the TCM needing a relearn. Did that and they instantly worked.

Just wanted to save others the head scratching on that topic.

Also, I bought my defender used and it only came with one key fob. I rolled the dice and bought a used activity key after getting the part number on my KVM would allow an activity key.
It took about 4 tries, but I was able to pair the activity key. I then bought a used key fob and was able to pair that key fob as well.
I now have an activity key and 3 fobs on my defender, and it says 6 keys paired, so you can have more than just 3 keys paired if you desire as well as programming used keys.

a local locksmith cut me 2 new emergency keys for $15 each by copying the one I had and they work flawless.

Lifesaver, I am literally about to do this on mine in the next few weeks. I ordered a custom made nappa leather wheel with paddle shifter support, as I wanted to avoid alcantara, which is the only OEM option. The new OCTA does have a leather wheel with paddles, but you can't buy them yet it seems.

If it becomes available, I'm not sure if it would be fully functional, as the OCTA steering wheel also has a special button that enables the OCTA Terrain Response mode, which is exclusive to OCTA. I doubt it will be able to be programmed on the core Defender models as they don't have the 6D Dynamic suspension that replaces anti-roll bars with hydraulically cross-linked dampers, and that system plays a vital part to the OCTA drive mode.

The switch packs installed on the wheel are separate to the core of the steering wheel, and that new button looks like an additional bolted on switch. The part you'd order probably wouldn't come with the new switch, you have to migrate the ones from your car unless you purchase new ones.

Can some one please post a video how to: 1) select Dynamic mode; and 2) how to access the Dynamic mode configuration screen?

I have a discovery wheel for sale that would accept paddles and is leather, but the leather has some marks on it.

I was at the dealer today and saw a 2025 defender V8 SE that had a black leather heated wheel with paddles.
