There's loads on eBay. I got one from a breakers yard. Mint condition. 25,000 miles later it's going strong.

Keep your old one and get stuck in to it. Have some fun with it. Don't worry about breaking bits as when you reinstall it all fixed you can't see anything wrong. If, you completely bork it up, just lob it in the trash. eBay has the DRL modules. There were loads of options for under $10. I paid $2.38 shipped.

For those of you who got park assist to work, could you please check whether MultiCan-672 TJAICA is set to “fitted”? Along with what settings you have for MultiCan-706 TJAICARE and MultiCan-747 TJAICAHOD.

Additionally, please share the module details for your IPMA (image processing module ‘a’). I wonder whether those of us with the later models years have a CCF line that is different and/or have a different firmware flashed to our IPMAs. Thanks in advance!

I've emailed the team at GAP with my Parking Assist settings and issues. I'll post back here if they're able to help resolve it for me.

I suspect whatever gets park assist to work will also likely get lane centering assist (vs. lane bouncing assist currently) to work if MultiCan-672 is changed.

Default Is Park Assist worth it?

Honest question here. I follow this thread and have seen the struggles of many to make Park Assist work, so just curious: for those that have been able to make it work, is it something that you use regularly and worthwhile spending a bunch of time on (beyond the thrill of the intellectual challenge of solving the puzzle)?

No. It's not something you'll ever use in a real world setting. A fun gimmick; that's about it.

Having said that, not sure how I ever lived without it. Life was a much bleaker place back then.

Have people forgotten how to park a relatively small vehicle ?!

Nope. Decently ok at parking. But isn’t the whole point of this thread (and forum?) to explore new possibilities and learn / lend a helping hand? But don’t worry…if folks on this forum figure out how to activate park assist in MY22+ vehicles and you later on decide to activate it…you don’t have to admit it to anyone.

I heard back from Patrick at GAP Diagnostic. He advised that Parking Assist in not available on the L663 Defender. His response: "We've never seen a L663 with park assist, only other platforms. Many have tried and no one succeeded to our knowledge."
