I admit, I am struggling with a few items. I can’t seem to enable dynamic mode, yet followed closely the guidance above even making changes one setting at a time. Below are my settings:
Additionally, the configurable terrain response eludes me as to activating and using it; any guidance?
Not sure on all but for dynamic your list is not complete. You need these. *Dynamic Mode*
EUCD - 245 Dynamic 1
Set to “Dynamic 1 Content with Configurable Dynamic Mode Screen”
MultiCAN - 562 DynamicProgMode.
Set to “Available for Selection Without Timeout”
MultiCAN - 605 ConfigDynamicMode.
Set to “Fitted”
MultiCAN - 682 DynamicLiteMode.
Set to “Available for Selection Without Timeout”
MultiCAN - 777 Ter Dyn Select In FCPB.
Set to “rotary used for selection within touch screen
MY23.5 D90S here, and I can't agree more that Dynamic Mode is the ticket for better shifts, faster throttle response and just sounds better to me.
They have not announced yet - still beta testing - but it was noted today that full park assist will be working soon. Something to do with resetting one of the driver assist controllers not previously touched.
Hairy Dan (Ian) has specific details, although he probably will wait for the testing.
I believe this is also the "secret sauce" needed to make ACC function?
I decided to stop waiting for ACC and jumped into the abyss by contacting JLR Active (www.jlractive.com) for the $1,000 package.
Here's the deal -- you no longer need to be in -or travel to- Southern California to get the activations. Garrett shipped me a loaner laptop, cables and tool for me to use at home in the PNW.
Great to talk to on the phone. Answered all my questions and concerns. Gear arrived as promised and was preprogrammed(!) with my VIN and my desired features. We did the full activations with him on Teamviewer to his laptop in under an hour - including reconfirmations, reboots and a test drive to validate it all stuck. I could not be happier with the results!!!
In addition to the full list (I didn't care for the 007 splash screen, and Global Close is only available on MY24), he activated and updated the firmware on the OEM towbar electronics module I installed a few months ago, turned off the annoying Drive-Away Locking and Drip Wipe features too.
ACC/Adaptive Cruise Control WORKS!
Dynamic Mode works!
Auto Stop/Start memory works!
Advanced Tow, Key Fob rear door release, All Terrain Progress, foglights stay on with high beams, wifi hotspot, IT ALL WORKS!
I know a lot of good people are working hard on the GAP Tool and other ways to get the evasive features like ACC to work. I wish you well, but I can't say enough good about the service and results from JLR Active. Thanks Garrett!
Nope. I do not get the red gauge lighting (I have full TFT ie not analogue gauges) . But it doesn't bother me. I do get red LED's around the cabin, in the door pockets, and dash cubbies, etc. I played around w/ settings and couldn't get the gauges to change.
Would you mind snapping a pic or two of the red lights around the cabin, pockets, cubbies, etc? Do you have any additional convenience package for these lights or are we talking about the regular lights in all models? TIA
I have the same result after the JLRActive activation of Dynamic in my 2020 D110 P400.
The gauge rims did not turn red (like they did in my L494 RR Sport), but yes, the Ambient Lighting around the cabin (passenger-side dash, footwells, door handle recesses, etc.) turn from my preset color to red when Dynamic Mode is selected and go back to my preset blue color when out of Dynamic. The Dynamic symbol however does appear over the transmission setting window while in Dynamic Mode.

My trim level doesn't have ambient lighting.
I'm left to rely on my Irish accent and alluring potatoey musk to set the mood. (An activation to be used with caution)
I'm waiting for xmas instead of using the alternative methods. I'll have to kick on the heat in the garage before I open up my phone and look for a GAP tool update... Keep the faith with the GAP guys, they'll get it done
I just added the DRL disabling ECU changes to post 1.
courtesy of @umbertob in the DRL Snafu thread.
____________________________________ If you have an IIDTool (as if we needed one more reason to own that amazing little box...), I think I have found a way to disable the DRL feature in our premium headlights, it involves changing one MultiCAN parameter in the CCF:
MultiCAN-468 FntDRLType Current: Incorporated DRL and Pos New: No DRL
I also have a question for those in the know regarding the ECU flash section.
I noticed quite a few areas where updates are available for my vehicle but they have not been applied. I am not going to make changes here as it’s likely a recipe for disaster in my hands but I did have a question.
there is a TSB out regarding the power drain due to the door control modules. It requires the dealer to flash an update and I was wondering if this is the same process that can be done via GAP. My OTA updates have ceased after the last one (4.0) failed to install
again just curious for any information about this from those who’ve used ECU flash on the Defender or other LR vehicles.
