Hello,
as indicated by MattF, the tool is Gap II idtool, in beta phase of function, we are all trying to understand how to modify the ccf files, I am also interested in upgrading the front lights, from basic to premium or matrix, by way of clarification I'll give you a photo of an editable parameter, base ( low), premium ( mid), matrix ( hight). with variant a,b,c, which I think.....is the country.
of course it's all to be verified, it's not said that it's this or only this, tests must be done.

Having has our UK spec XS delivered without the Matrix LEDs I have been doing some homework on retrofitting the correct units, based on the information available you need to have the correct headlight units as shown in the attached part number document and changing the ballast won’t suddenly enable the “smart” matrix function on premium LEDS.

hi, I know this table well with the various product codes, the idea we are investigating is that the matrix and premium headlights have the same part (the actual headlight), what changes in the complete unit is the electronic module, therefore from what I understand now but which requires investigation, the basic light has an electronic module with the term AB, the premium BA, the matrix BB.

this can be read with a diagnostic tool, for example, Gap.

I know Simon at PowerfulUK had posted videos messing around with various light units and ballasts and I’m sure the outcome was that the premium and matrix lights had different intervals as well as ballasts.

@Jomara - What are the differences between the two Matrix part #'s for each side? Two for left side and two for right. Also, can you post the right side of that XLS so those of us driving on the other (wrong?) side of the road? Thanks!

It comes from one of Simon's videos. I linked them in post #23, though I forget which one had the spreadsheet. He goes into more detail about the lights in those videos.

Hi Grouse

The part numbers are (as far as I'm aware) up to certain VIN numbers before updating to the later part number, the link to the spreadsheet is below:

Cheers
