Tire choice???
Posted this on the LR4 forum, but less activity there, no reply. Anyone here can answer about the LR4 wheels???
I’m pretty sure the answer is yes, but seeking confirmation before I make the switch…
2016 LR4 with OEM wheels 285/50r20 Ridge Grapplers (31.26 inches, 11.69 wide)switched from Johnson Rods/EAS to springs with 2 inch lift. Slight rub at hard turns. Going to my daughter…
2025 D130 400 with OEM wheels/tires CrossContact RX 275/45/r22 (31.7 inches, 10.7 wide). My new vehicle.
Thinking is switching wheels and putting Toyo AT 275/55r20 (31.9/11.2) on the 20’s for my ride. I off road, she doesn’t.
Does anyone see any issues with the 22’s fitting on the LR4? I think my slight rub on the LR4 is more from tire width than diameter, but not sure.
thanks!🤙🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am running 20" Style 516 wheels from an LR4 wrapped in 265/60R20 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws on my Defender with air suspension. They fit just fine with zero rubbing at any height. 275/55R20 is the recommended size for winter tires on the Defender. You shouldn't have any problems whatsoever running this size on LR4 wheels, despite having a different offset to Defender wheels.
OEM Defender wheels fit on the LR4, but the tires will only fit as long as you have lift rods or use the GAP tool to raise the normal height up a bit. I know you said you have a 2" lift, and that's probably enough. I'd try to swap one over and see if it fits before you commit.
