@Mike_F I did a combination of the two. First I pulled the silver fog light surrounds of using a plastic pry tool (they pull straight out) exposing the full fog light. After throughly cleaning the glass, I tucked one of the tabs into the gap between the glass lens and the plastic fog light surround. I then slowly rolled the Lamin-x over the lens. The Lamin-x is fairly thick and there will be “fingers” or wrinkles. I used a heat gun to gently warm the material and use a plastic tool (used for installing PPF to work material down so it bonds to the lens without wrinkling. Once it was in place and I was satisfied, I used a sharp blade to score the tabs and then removed them. It’s not a difficult job but it is a bit tedious to work the wrinkles out.
Great to know, thank you. I don't have a special heat gun or PPF tool, but I have my wife's hair dryer, a plastic pry tool, and a small plastic hard "squeegee" that Powerful UK sent me for a black decal I put over the body-color square on the C pillar. I'll find a way to make it work.
It can be useful to put on some nitrile gloves to avoid getting finger prints under film like that… which is why they put those tabs on there since most people won’t bother. For these prints are probably not obvious but it’s still a good idea imo.
@RoverMcRoverFace it is a Sly bracket for Land Rover Defender with mesh grille - I have used these on a few other vehicles and they are great. I initially had it mounted in the center below the camera...but the camera picked up the top of the license plate and I didn't like it interfering with video. YMMV - I think it looks better in the center...but the video really bugged me.

Love the color. Indeed it's big and washing it is a commitment If you ever add a roof rack it'll be a bigger commitment ! Waiting for warm weather here

Installed Sarek battery tray today. Decided to do it so the winch has a little more power readily available and can run a few more accessories without the low battery warning light comming on while camping.
The tray was a little bit of a struggle to get in. I believe this tray was designed around a 90 p300 with standard headlights. The coolant pipe to the aux radiator needed to be modified. The tray itself needed to be notched to fit correctly as the aux radiator was in the way. That is because I installed saltek aux radiator relocation kit. The relocation makes the top of the radiator interfere with the tray. The final problem was I think the tray might have been designed around the standard LED headlights, I have the premium headlights, which appear to be longer. So that caused the battery to push closer to the wheel well, but that wouldn't work because of some structural ribs being in the way. The solution was to raise the battery about 3/4 of an inch. I made some brackets out of aluminum.
