Looks like l'm going to be able to deploy it the way intended.

Need to drill some holes for mounting brackets...and possibly lift rack slightly in the front. Can't get to the rear mounting brackets, myself. My wife has skinny arms, maybe she can get in there and start the fasteners. Anyhow, small concerns...it's going on one way or another.

Looks pretty snappy, if l do say so myself. Has a nice mattress and plenty of air flow...wish it would be finished by the weekend...for a little up north trip...but just isn't going to happen.

If that ain't the truth!

And it looks like l'll be unbolting the rack to gain access to the rear mounting brackets of tent (hurray...heavy sarcasm). Hoped that my wife's skinny arms could get in there, but she came home yesterday from her moms with a light bulb sized bandage on her right index finger. An antique clock fell off the kitchen cabinet and landed on the counter top...problem was...her fringer broke its fall. Three stitches later, she's out of commission for starting fasteners. I tell ya...that woman would do anything to get out of working with me...lol.

Funny you should mention that...

On facebook this morning and l get a PM from this women...saying that she is in a abusive relationship with some prince in India.

She also mentions that if l could send $250, 000.00, she'd be able to get away from him and come to America...where she would be glad to come live with me. I'm thinking...perfect! Wife's out of commission at the moment, what perfect timing. So, l message her back asking about her knowledge of Land Rovers and does she work on them? Unfortunately, she has no knowledge...so, that has kind of squashed the deal.

Fortunately for me, since responding to her PM..l've received several similar request from desperate women needing money in similar situations. I'm thinking..there must be one out of the hundred or so new requests...that knows something about rovers. Once l find the right one, it's just a matter of running the whole idea past of wife and going from there!

Got the RTT secured/mounted. Not sure if l want to go camping anywhere that has grizzlies present in the near future. So much of my blood splattered on the rack and roof...it would draw them in like flies...lol. Fortunately, was able to get my hands in between rack and roof to tighten fasteners (basically saved $250,000.00...and being punched in the face by my wife...lol)...but...used zip-ties to secure plastic flooring panels...and position them so cut end of tie was underneath...exactly where my arms were. My arms look like l've done battle with a grizzly or two.

Planned on using it tonight...but rain clouds moving in.

Just got it closed up and it started to sprinkle. l'd say it takes five solid minutes to deploy or close-up tent.

Looks like it time to fill the tank, throw some gear/supplies in her and head somewhere for the weekend.
