Love the shade of green on these D2s. Keep up the good work!

Finally have some time to work in the truck, it’s above freezing, barely lol. So started on the rear bumper again.

Well it’s on there. Still need to wire up the winch, wire the trailer harness plug, and do some more painting. I also need to do the resistor mod for the new led turn Signals.

I had more corona virus time so I made protection hoops in my roof rack, wired up the lights properly with soldered joints, wire loom, and reinstalled the rack by my self with the help of my atv winch

I took some time today and finished wiring the back bumper, winch seems to work great, it is loud tho as it echoes out under the truck. I have a wireless remote for it which should be great for steering stuff onto the trailer as you control it. I wired up my roof lights but I have to redo it with larger wire. I thought the led lights were 96 watts total. Lol that’s each one. So 16amps for them. The wire I ran was too small.

Well after looking around on the Internet I found these switch panels that snap in in place of our change drawers on our dashes. They’re was a 3D printer program for them. My cousin lives around the corner with one and hardly ever uses it. So a phone call and a few hours later and voila! Should be pretty cool. Now I need to order some switches. I used my new rear winch to load an old non running lawn tractor onto my trailer yester which worked great with the wireless remote.

That's pretty awesome. The change drawer and ashtray are useless, much better application.

Rear bumper turned out nice!

Brian.

I haven’t really worked on my rover lately, instead I knocked out a bunch of other projects during all this down time. Restored an 84 big red, went through my kids Suzuki LT80, almost a restore lol, went through my mud pro- new axles, brakes, rebuilt starter, oil change, fluid top etc. Did a bunch of house stuff to keep
the wife happy. Lol.
anyway just wanted to post that the green bastard has been running great, no issues (knock on wood) mileage has improved a bunch with the warmer weather too. Hopefully this virus **** is over in a month or so and I can get my 4.6 back from the builder.

Yeah, did the same...a break from rover repairs. Did sort parts yesterday and stow them away in a "somewhat" better order...well...as of this morning l can still remember which blue tub holds what...tomorrow...game over...lol. It was kind of like Christmas though, opening all of the cardboard boxes. I'm like...didn't even know l kept this from the disassembly of the 01 and 03. My wife was like...do we really need all of this stuff? Looked around, at the three front drive shafts, frt and rear diffs, transmission, two transfer cases, full front end (fenders, hood, bumper, grill, etc), another complete 4.6 in peices, three starters, two alternators, and so on and so on...and said..."you want to keep driving that Dll of yours...then yes."

Ordered some parts for the white Dll, notice a small anti-freeze leak coming from that lower plastic triple-y connection by water pump. Will be here tomorrow, so repairs will resume then.

Today is a hunker down and watch television day, got hooked on this series called "House", about a goofy doctor that tells it like it is, and it's on all day every Tuesday, 11am to 8pm. I'm really hoping this virus thingy doesn't get over until the series ends...or l'll have to use vacation days to watch. Joking, hope the whole corna virus thing is over soon...but...the shelter in place order...l'm good with that until the series ends...lol. Hell, just looked out the window...and it's snowing. I guess there's nothing better to do today anyway...granted...l wasn't looking for an excuse...because, it's full steam ahead...for my "bag of potatoe chips, donuts, three pots of coffee, chips and salsa, candy bars, popcorn, all finished off with a large bowl of ice cream" day!

Stay safe over there!
