Just keeping things updated..

Had an interesting morning.. Went to work at 530am and it was about 10 degrees out and windy. Started MagPie up as normal but it really struggled to get started but finally did. I noticed something weird while just sitting in the drivers seat but it took me a second for it to register in my head what i was seeing which was.. the cluster was completely dead and blacked out. I've been having this weird battery problem which i've shared in another post but i just gave the truck a prolonged rev and everything came to life. Really starting to think something is up with my battery but when the UG kicked on it was registering 14.25v

But in other news..

Whats in the booooxxxx

Nice work Brian!

Finally got this in the mail - no longer a 2wd pandsie Disco! Reused the bolts on the tcase but got all new hardware for everything else. Fastnel didn't have the 24tp bolts so had to go with 16tp instead Repacked with fresh grease so good to go!

Also.. Anyone know what brand this front sway bar link is? I had to pull it out and flop it around because the zerks were facing the wrong way (other side was facing the correct way)

Nice looking front shaft. Probably feels good to have it back together.

It certainly does! Haven't gone for a drive just yet, waiting on my 2nd patch to the expansion tank to dry

I also tightened down the the TF shocks i have by one click to see how it effects handling. I think the springs i have are D1 HD springs which gives a rather poor ride unless there is a ton of weight in the back which there almost never is. Probably gonna look at getting some softer and lower springs in the next few months.

I fixed my P1414 code today by cleaning out the SAI control valves with brake cleaner and making sure the vac lines were all intact

Tomorrow -- Brakes!

Had a bleh day today.. Got 1/2 the brakes done today, only because the caliper carrier sleeve / piston thing stripped out on the drivers side in the rear. I thought the local Fastnel would have a 5mm longer bolt but alas they did not so I had to make a run to the junkyard which was 45mins away. Oh well.. Picked up some extra sleeve / piston things for $2.29 so if any of the other corners gives me trouble, i'll be ready. Had to drill out the screws on the rotors which took longer than actually installing the new bits.
