Those screws are the worst ugh, good thing i only have 2 left to drill out!

In other news.. Picked up some OEM roof bar extenders and cross bars for $26 -- seemed like a steal to me! Also got a wiring harness with relay for another $8 which will come in handy in the future. Drilling the hole in the roof is gonna be weird but i think this setup up will work just fine for my needs moving forward. Probably gonna snag the same roof basket that the @The Deputy has on his now old D2 . The cross bars are OEM i think and have a slight curve to them so I might end up using them for mounting lights of some kind and using flat bar for cross bars to hold the basket

Nice haul. They just got a Dll in at the junkyard down the road, may head over there today to check it out. It's 17 degrees this morning, so the ground should be nice and solid...no mud...hurray. Stopped there the Sat before Christmas, they were just closing...but the young kid said...you'll never make it over there in those boots. So, I heeded his advice and left...only to return again someday...lol.

Well? Did you go and check it out @The Deputy ?

The winter here in CO has been a joke thus far but today we got maybe around 6" or so All of a sudden i noticed that MagPie has sprung a leak I guess the timing couldnt be better since i have to yank the head liner to A. fix the sagging and B. drill those holes for the extended roof racks but still.. bleh.. annoying.

Went to check it out, pretty rough. Got excited as l was walking up on it, same seats as my new 03...but they were trashed (most of the glass was blown out in accident). Most of the trinkets were gone, coin/ash tray/cup holders.

Bummer about the roof leak, but good timing.

Yeah kind of a bummer but I have been wanting to paint the headliner, insulate and now install the roof rails for a while now so that’s good.

Whats really a bummer is that it snowed yesterday so working outside is gonna suck

Yeah, l feel for you guys working without a garage. Even though mine's only a two car...it makes things so much easier.

Side note...added the rear roof rail extensions today. Did a little write up in my swap/build topic.

Sweet, thank you for sharing that! I just read through and seems simple enough

No obvious signs of where the water is coming in and i can't tell if the the drains on the F/R sunroofs have been fixed prior or not but they aren't clogged at all

Also figured out how all of that extra wiring was run -- you can sorta see the extra pair of bundled wires in this pic. Both run up the passenger A pillar and then the bundle that has speaker wire in crosses in the middle while the other stays on the passenger side -- both running back to the rear D pillars. Probably will use this wiring for rear work lights or something of that nature

I feel you 😒 worked on the disco yesterday, and of course halfway thru the project the temp dropped 20degrees and my hands were to numb to work, I wish my parents didn’t have so many cars so I could have a work space!
