Project Dirty White
I’ve been following loosely and still fun to see where you are.
I have learned that the Disco really is pretty easy to work on- it just took me a bit to get in the head of the designers. The downside is that after the first or even second owners in many cases the subsequent owners didn’t have the time, tools, or patience to keep them up properly. The reputation seems to stem from folks neglecting them either through ignorance or lack of funds and parts eventually just wear out if not properly maintained. Also, with this mindset, design flaws such as the cooling system become more evident.

Yep totally agree with how it’s been treated = having a lot to do with it holding up. Buy someones beater = adopt that LR’s headaches. Buy a well maintained/loved LR & with some upkeep & TLC it should last a very long time!
