Engine help
Hi.
I am babysitting my brothers Defender 110. I started it the other day and there was hardly any power. I took it down the road and it backfired a couple times but didnt recover.
I returned home to realise that fuel was pouring out. I decided to get a mechanic to come out, but this afternoon went to have a look myself and I found that when I start the engine the fuel is pouring from a black fuel line which is hanging loose. There are 2. I cannot figure out where they are supposed to be and how they came loose. Hoping someone can assist before Wednesday

most likely a stuck float try wrapping on the side of the carb. a couple times, I'm assume those are twin solexs, they look a lot like the old SU's.
if one hose is draining then it is probably the float stuck open, if both over flows are leaking, check for to much fuel presure
