See if you can get under there and move that bad sensor out toward the reluctor.
I just got a big Phillips screw driver and put it on the back of the sensor and tapped it a bit to push it out to get a better signal.

Don't harm the center wire.

Yes, this is a hack.
Get a big box from the trash and open up the box.
Crawl under on top of the box all laid out.
Then you will not get all dirty.
