Question Conversion to carb...

Just wondering if anybody has any experience ripping all this electronic crap off off of the Disco 3.9 and putting another intake with a good old 4 bbl carb. It would be impossible to have a negative affect on economy and it would maybe make life simple again. What would be the downside? Opinions? Bill

Default strip out the wires...

I have contemplated this. And also get rid of power windows.

If you get a chance look into it, could be an awful nice conversion and cheap to do. I don't know about emissions though. Even here in Costa Rica they have that BS. On second thought, rip out the motor and put a sail on it! Would make it real popular with the greenies. Seriously though, I don't have many resources here to research it, maybe you have the time up there. I would bet it would get 20 MPG. Bill

Been done, both ways (convert carbs to injection, and injection to carbs). Carb floats not so good off road at odd angles.

Hey Savannah, is there any other downside to the conversion other than deck angles? Emissions, etc.
