I have a ps leak from the reservoir to the pump. When I find the time to rob another convenience store to keep up with my Disco repair habit I will replace that hose next. This thing is like my second wife...I like her and keep putting the money into her but I keep thinking about kicking her to the curb every time...

From what I have heard it is detrimental. Wish he ahd stuck to that aspect of the problem instead of what he insisted upon was not a big deal. If it is ruined, please let us know so the others that read this will have an answer that is valid instead of misinformation from a dealership expert.
PO used a combo of PSF and ATF in my DI, it does leak a lot and makes a nice whinning noise constantly to let me know that I should at some point change/flush the system. This has been going on for the last 8 years and nothing has failed on the system as of yet. I realize that this sounds absurd and that I should have changed it by now and probably will flush the system this weekend.
