right on was trying to get jump on all this today but...will be calling them in the AM
today I found
I like the quality of my present fuel injector o rings as compared to the new ones so I just cleaned everything up and put it back together
WOW my water jacket gasket was trashed!!! holes in it and some may want to note that the K-seal seemed to have built up underneath the gasket .......So if you ever use K-seal I would highly recommend renewing this gasket ASAP
had no oil pan gasket....
no thermostat was in my disco....
and im still trying to figure out these extra little do dads.....
would help alot if a would stop falling asleep looking thu the manual....and searching online...ZZzzzzZZZzZZZZ

I bought it in Feb 2011....yeah so with no stat ive been running around 195....when towing....well I should have recalized ....it was taking a while to warm up...had to drive it to reach operating temp..yes im very glad im finding all this out...... THE JACKET..ON THE PLENUM...THIS GASKET WAS TRASHED
hese pictures show the water jacket.......heres a diagram of upper engine from rovers north Discovery I V8 Engine Top End Parts Available from RoversNorth.com gasket being #26 on this diagram.....
you can see in the pics that the Kseal...(copper silt ) built up under the gasket....and that the gasket blew out internallly....the last pic shows the build up green arrow.....blow out at red arrow...

chicken or the egg...i think the k seal blocked the gasket port...and therefore a hole was blown through the other side...however it did help my head gasket so ....if i ever have to use it again I will be changing this gasket asap.......the function of this jacket eludes me however....is it to warm the intake? cool it? use more hoses? lol at any rate there it is ...this gasket BTW is included in the head gasket kits
