Default How do I tow a dead Disco? *solved*

Hey there LR,

I'm planning on buying a dead Disco and towing it about 200mi back to my place. My biggest question is can I use a tow dolly? If I can use a tow dolly what do I need to do to ensure I don't damage the Disco? Do i need to pull the rear driveshaft or can I leave it?

Thanks!

You can’t tow it with the rear wheels only because it is full time four wheel drive. A flatbed would be the best option but someone else will need to chime in.

Pull the rear driveshaft and it will be fine on the dolly

Yep I've pulled several D1's and D2's on the regular Uhaul Dolly's. The D2 is a tight fit, but it will go on there. Just remove the rear drive shaft and hit the road.
