In the RAVE, for the D1, workshop manual, transfer gearbox section, there is a description of the parking brake drum, and location of an adjustment for it. The rear drive shaft attaches to it. So noise may be anywhere from transfer case parking brake, U-joint for drive shaft, coupling for shaft, rear diff, wheels, etc. More diagnostics will be needed. When working with this, be sure wheels are chocked to prevent truck moving while U B below.
