Default Nanocom

Just grabbed a old discovery, and the immobilizer has triggered, I can't afford a $500 tool but would love to actually get it running again. Just curious if anyone in the Dallas Fort Worth area has one, I'm willing to compensate for time and help if you know how to do this and get the ECU to work and the immobilizer turned off. its on a 1999 LR Disco SD 4.0 V8 Gas.

1999 was a split year for the Disco 1 and Disco II. Does is have square and flush door pulls or handles which protrude out of the doors?

The Nanocom for a D1 is about $550 - it will do everything you could ever need for D1

Read this. I did it years ago and it worked. This is for 99 D1 (flat door handles)

Label your wires. Try to do it via a jumper and don't cut wires if you can avoid it.
I did not and I'm trying to re-join the wires as I'm going to swap out ecu, alarm, and cluster for a set with a key fob. I need to find out which is which.
