p0300 random misfire and p0451
I use the "Rave". If you don't have it Google it, great resource to have on your laptop. It has a section called the "ETM" = Electrical Troubleshooting Manual and it has everything Rover electrical you can think of. Wire colors aren't always exactly as the manual, normal production anomalies of an automobile....
Thanks, yes the rubber gasket was still there and it was in good condition so I just cleaned it and put it back into place.
About the light I suppose I should pop open the gauge cluster and take or look at the bulbs.

Seems like most of my original issues when I first got my Disco1 were wiring and directly related to burned connectors. I think I have replaced most of them by now. The Rave manuals are a big help!
yes indeed they are very helpful. If I find a broken fuel tank pressure sensor wire or connector I will post pics of it here. I will have to search the entire wiring from the sensor on out. Wish me luck lol.
And if it is plugged (which I suspect it is) would that have any link to the P1313 and P1314 codes mentioned earlier? I ask because those are the only misfire codes I still occasionally get - usually when climbing a hill at low speed or sometimes when coasting. Would a plugged PCV affect fuel mileage? Mine is still well below 10 MPG and I am replacing the 180 thermostat with a 192 today to see if higher running temps help fuel mileage.
