P1179 Error on 1997 Land Rover Disco

make sure that the emissions readiness parameters in Torque are all ready. If you’ve been re-setting codes along the way, these may not be ready as you need to complete the various drive cycles that re-set them. It’ll save you a trip. Nothing wrong with ducking in to get the test completed if you’re good to go, but it does sound like there’s something going on that you’ll need to eventually take care of.

When I went to check the readiness this AM, the CEL was still off but the codes P1177(new) and 1179 are still reporting on the OBD. I wasnt aware the the CEL could be off if there are errors reported. anyway, I read some folks had luck with a new fuel pumps to clear these codes, but I just checked the records and it was replaced along with the fuel filter in 2015 (but only 10k miles ago), so I think Ill skip that. Not sure where to go from here
