Land Rover NA has given me codes over the phone.

 

I bought mine from these folks, but needed the code many years later, tech told me to hold on, came back with the code. He did ask for vin and a few other things, but no problem. (877) 786-3551

 

£20 the dealer in Nottingham is changing for radio codes ! Shocking

 

I still get codes from the two dealers I work with. If the radio is original and the VIN works I get the code on my first call. If they have to use the radio’s serial number it might mean a callback from the dealer, usually within a few minutes. I can’t believe dealers are charging for the service or, even refusing to perform a task that, in many cases just takes a minute or two.

 

I know it's terrible I was take back. But I want to keep it as close to original as possible... Over a barrel. . Add to that I'm still 4 days later waiting for a call back!

 

My 2002 Freelander has a radio that now says LOCKED on the display so although I have found the code number in the manual I can't enter it .
Advice if possible please .
