Default radio in tape mode

light on my radio was out so got a used one on ebay for $50. there was a tape in it when i got it so tried to plug it in and eject but wouldn't. so i opened it up and took take out, plugged it back in and would only go to tape and weather band. no other band. so i put my old radio back in and same thing...very odd, since i never had a tape in that one. so my system must be thinking there's a tape in there (seems like you should be able to switch modes even if there's a tape in there). Any ideas?

Can't help on that issue, but would point out that if you install aftermarket radio (because yours does not have features you want), there are two antenna connectors from the back fixed side windows. One is FM, the other is AM & FM. You want to use AM & FM one, nice to hear ball games, talk radio, etc.
