Default Not disco... But close enough.

Since the defender area isn't too popular, I though I would post here:

On Thursday I picked up a pair of axles from a D1 so that I could get rear disc brakes, 24 spline axles for future upgrades, and easier selection of alloy wheels (maybe). Haven't installed them yet.

The yesterday while at SCARR, during the raffle, I won a set of +2 terrafirma shocks and a tool roll from rovers north and a set of QT diff guards from lucky 8!

You want me to just send you my spare stock axles now?
YES! That would be awesome. I'm going to start stock piling stock axles until I get HD axles

RTE FTW! Got it off the old truck by myself after grinding a weld someone put on it, and got in on the 98 with the assistance of my 120 lb fiance (she put the bolts in the holes and helped line it up) It's not light but not as bad as I was thinking it would be. Id hate to get rear ended by it!
On an non rover related note check this sh** out! It's a buddy of mine who built my other bumper, sliders, panhard bar etc...

Wow, a lot of serious rover-work done lately. On a smaller, but weather important scale, I finally tore into the front passenger door to fix the window roller. Decided to go the modified screen roller mod vs. the nylon washer route. Fewer moving parts and factory built/pressed/molded threaded bearing vs cap screws was the deciding factor. Filed the thickness a bit, some locktite and a star washer and hope not to be back in there anytime soon.

Default Parked Next to a Real Rover

Somewhere deep inside they share a common bond - and I found it, the jug of Rotella in the back! He has done a great job restoring this one, even has the radio gear and antenna. Perhaps the "3" indicates his US unit, the 3rd ID, the Rock of the Marne. This Rover is certainly "top of the Rock".

Went junk yarding! Got a OEM radiator and MAF as a bonus and snagged a window motor, fuel pump harness, and a few other things for 150! Ready to be able roll up my rear window!
