OK I have not had mine apart just thinking on others I have, iirc there is sometimes the outboard seal out by wheel, and inboard seal in the axle tube at the carrier that keeps the gear oil in the pumpkin

Also on front Dana/spicer with universals not swivels there is actually a odd looking dust seal to keep crap out of the axle tube

No inboard seal on a Rover, guess it was the one behind the hub

Dropped off the DOM tubing and frame mounts for my new trailing arms. New ones shouldn't bend. New arms will be about 34" with narrow Ballistic joints at the axle and Johnny Joints on the frame

You should fab up some shock tower spacers since you'll have about 1.5" of uptravel with those 12" shocks.
Are you using the stock tabs for the axle mount?

Yes, stock tabs with the spacers you used. Going to go test fit and see what kind of up travel I get and address that issue if need be. I may just weld 1/4" tabs to the top of the D2 mounts to raise the shock if I need too edit: no extending the D2s. I have 3" of upgrades, mostly consumed with a bump stop. Time to make some towers!

Bought three u joints at advance auto (part number 1-0005) and taking them to a shop tomorrow to be installed. ($75 total)

Update:

well got a call from the shop and they pulled both driveshafts and took off the ujoints. Said nothing was wrong with them and they were in great shape and even greased them for me. Paid $20 just because they took them off and put them back on. Next stop is rear rotors and calipers. My Rover is pulling right on braking. I just changed the front rotors and calipers and the steering components to HD TF rods so the next step is the rear brakes.
