finally tracked down my "tick/rattle/knock" whatever you want to call it.. turned out to be a bad cat. Seemed to dodge the slipped liner bullet
Don't like cats much anyway so I ditched them, will be adding plug non fouler's to hopefully take care of the o2 sensors.

Stumbled across some Cooper STT 315s I'm going to trade my 285s for. Finally some 35s!

Is this a done deal?? Glad you're finally moving up to some big boy tires.

I drilled and tapped my AC fittings for 1/4" NPT.

Default 98 Disco Trans filter change.

Man so after all the bad reading on this forum about changing transfluid and filter on Discos with over 100k I took a dive. Ordered the filter kit from B.A. I gotta admit the work was a kick in the ars. The people who I read the procedures from went a lil overboard my opinion. I Bolted everything back up filled with Valvoline maxlife goodness ran her through the gears put the hand break on shifted to neutral and made sure level was good. She shifts like a dream. I gotta say I bought her with 132k now I got 144k on the clock. before the filter change I did drop the oil and refill about 3 times within a year and some months that I have had her. So im guessing the tranny if it was gonna fail it should have a long time ago.

I forsee that in my future! I'm going back to one shot grease so I'm hoping to avoid doing seals.

I traded my retread 285s for some 315 Cooper STT. My tires had more tread but we're wearing faster than I liked and these cooper's are in great shape. Probably 55%.

Now I have an inch to push my front axle forward an inch or so!
