Changed the panhard bushing, replaced the wheel bearing in my DD and tacked up my power steering pump bracket and a buddy welded the rest. Quick bead blasting and some paint and it'll be ready to go!

Default Roar

I developed a Mighty roaring sound whilst driving downhill on mid acceleration.
Foot down on accelerator it is quiet, foot up it is quiet
Will this be propshaft float ????
Checked universal joints on front and rear shafts and seems to be sound.
Radius Arm bushes seems a bit "dodgy"
Panhard bushes OK

I have installed Terrafirma wide angle, heavy duty front propshaft about a year ago.

Any ideas in correcting this unearthly sound!!!!
(The best sound system in the world won't damp this sound)

Got my mild camel cuts done only to be refused by Pep Boys to install my new tires because I need to use spacers on the front! I understand their corporate policy but it was a bit of a downer! Now I have to wait till Monday!

Walmart won't mount anything but manufacturer suggested size. I have a little redneck tire shop that is my go to. $5 to mount, $5 to balance. Can't beat it!

I have had a productive weekend!

-replaced front and rear differential fluids
-replaced transfer case fluid
-upgraded to d2 headlight with black housing
-put on some used 245/75/16 Toyo tires
-got in mail new front driveshaft to replace my broken one.

Now to figure out transfer case selector that is stuck on high lock and I can put new shaft on.

Made some custom seat brackets and consequently installed new Corbeau seats. Much better.

Wired up four rack mounted Hella 550s (I hate blue-white LEDs). Very disappointed with the light spill on the hood and windshield. Much worse than I expected. Looking into a light shield or relocating..

Wired up my LED rack mounted reverse lights. They work well.

That's exactly why I ditched my light bar at four 550's. The light on my hood, even with a blackout, was ridiculous. I just run two 4000 Cornering Beams on the front bumper now.

Finally got my sliders mounted that I snagged from Ian. They'll work fine for steps for the time being but they'll need to be reinforced if I plan on goin' hard on the rocks. Name: image-1.jpg
