i think i figured out my hard start issue. was cranking and cranking and wouldnt turn over, had fuel, jeremy clarkson'd the ignition coil with my palm and it fired right up as my fiance was turning the key. pulled the wires off and hot damn they were covered in corrosion. covered the connections in deoxit and then added some dielectric grease... hopefully that takes care of that.

'Bout time! Now drill some drain holes in the door card pockets.
And the plastic access plugs for the body mounts in the front floor make excellent drains in a pinch.

This experience confirmed my hatred of mud. Especially after 30 min with a pressure washer. And finish that bumper!

I own a ww2 track vehicle, I found best thing with muddy, garden hose, then let dry and reeds and stuff dry out and crumble off, then wash

Lucky it wasn't swamp and reeds

Looked at a couple guys slim line Rte so think I got a better handle on what I want to do, didn't measure though looks like I can use 2" box as the main part of the wings then plate it?

I'll measure mine tonight. This was real sticky clay with decaying leaves in it. Gonna let it dry good and knock it off and wash again. Pressure washer got the bug stuff right away

Gassed it up today. What's significant about that is the last time I did this, the pump kept stopping after every .40 - .50 cents, was quite annoying and frustrating. Did a search in here, came across a suggestion to pour some FI cleaner down the vent hole for the smaller vent hose, and did just that. Poured a small bottle of Lucas FI cleaner down the vent hole at 6 o'clock in the filler neck, and viola, gassed it up like no one's business. Took $65 without missing a beat, lol...

Got the new steering rods with TREs installed, which I ordered from Lucky 8. Man, those things are BEEFY! Truck seems to ride much firmer, not as "loosey goosey" as before. Got the new steering damper installed too.

Question about mud flaps. I installed a new set of flaps for the back, and ordered a set for the front. The '94 D1 I just bought back in So Cal has front mud flaps, so I figured mine just tore off or something. Well, when looking underneath my '99 D1, there doesn't appear to be a place that's pre-drilled to mount a set of mud flaps for the front. Am I missing something on my '99, or did I just order a set of front mud flaps for nothing?!
