Hey, don't be goin' all Dexter on me now, lol...

I reversed the L bracket for the steering damper, and now it makes a lot more sense. While I was under there, I saw where to mount that strap in order to relocate the steering damper to the front steering rod. That will be a quick project for another day, since I don't have the metal strap handy. But at least I know now where it goes, like in the picture, and it looks pretty simple.

Also took some pics of the I-beam setup on the trailer, and emailed them to a boat trailer place. I stopped by there earlier, told them what I had and was wondering if they could just flip the axle, to get more ground clearance. The guy had this puzzled look on his face, and asked me to send him some pics. Now I'm no welder, but it looks pretty darn simple to flip this axle. They'd have to fabricate a new way to keep the hubs from turning, but I'm thinking something like braces on each side on the back of the hub, welded to the axle, should keep them straight?

I'm pretty sure that's what the boat trailer shop is going to recommend. As long as they have hubs with the right bolt pattern to mount these tires/wheels, as long as it won't cost a small fortune, and as long as it'll give me as much ground clearance as flipping the axle...

I second the add springs, this things got to bounce all over with no suspension, gonna be real bad off road, had a ww2 ammo trailer no suspension, horrible to tow not realty designedto go over like 35 MPh Max but made to carry a lot of weight

Nah !!!!!!!!!! it can be any color as long as it is WHITE !!!!!

In meantime got hold of a DC knuckle and had it fitted to the heavy duty wide angel front prop shaft.

Eagerly awaiting delivery. Just hope to receive it before the weekend.

Installed the trailer wiring harness from AB. Directions were pretty simple, and worked like a charm the first time I hooked it up to the trailer. Certainly not the cheapest trailer wiring harness, but there's something to be said for a true "plug and play" connection!
