My Disco project was turning my girls loose in the woods with it this weekend! I did get out the cutting wheel for the camel cut as the 245/75 Goodyear MT/R did, in fact, rub occasionally.

The truck did great in some nasty black gooey mud.

I even got to drive it once. Who knew a couple 14/15 year olds could burn a whole tank of fuel just running around a hunting camp?

Hot manifold, cold water splash? Probably many X more than once, crystallizing / hardening it until it cracked at its weakest point.

Default Cargo door latch and sunroofs

Disassembled rear door to repair rear latch, found latch spring broken. Ordered set of new springs. Tried to troubleshoot and manually close sunroof, determined same FUBAR. Started looking for parts. Gave up and ate ribs / drank beer.

Used the pneumatic over hydraulic 35 Ton press at work today to press out my old panhard rod bushings. That press is ridiculous, it's got a foot pedal so you can actually use your hands to hold what you're working on.
Anyway, I popped in new yellow polyurethane Britpart bushings and the truck feels mucho better-o.

Mounted and wired up the Hella 500s in a way that I'm almost happy with. Replaced the cheapo LED reverse lights with KC 26 reverse lights. Cleaned up extra wiring. General preparation for deer season tomorrow.

Also, realized yesterday that a good friend's uncle, represented the US in the 1990 Siberia Camel Trophy. Small world..

Normally I would agree. I'm not sure of the exact make, but my RTE panhard rod came used with a yellow poly bushing at the axle end and its still going strong 4 years later. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I doubt they'll be any worse than the sh*tty AllMakes or whatever they were that lasted about 1 month.

Default Wet headlights

My headlights have been foggy since I bought truck. Took them off today and opened them up. Both had condensation on the inside. The drivers side had about 90% of the reflective coating gone so I buffed it up and sprayed it with some reflective silver paint I had lying around.

They look much better. I may take them back off and spray them both with some aluminum engine paint to make them look the same. Prob not, looks good enough!
