So what did you do to your Disco today?
Is it better than CRC contact cleaner? Might have to get some if so. BTW, which way do the CC buttons/switches press? In or down? I haven't tried my CC yet and the top button was loose in the cubby when I got it - put it back on but it is still wobbly.
Coincidentally, in preparation for the colder weather, rain and snow i pulled my rear defroster switch, rear windscreen wiper switch and rear fog light switch. None of the three worked, so i pulled them apart. Cleaned and rebent the contacts. Reinstalled and they all work now. Guess i may need to pull both rear a/c switches and the recirculation switch in the near future and clean them.
yea. the deoxit stays on like a lubricant, the CRC evaporates. i usually use contact cleaner first (i have some radioshack stuff) then hit it with deoxit.
Swapped out my rotors, calipers, hubs, swivels, and axles/CV's on my '96 with the ones from my '95 in one fell swoop. Unbolt the swivels, pull the whole assembly off, and bolt it on the new axle housing.
Also mixed some grease and gear oil to put in my swivels and made a DIY filler for them.

Also used my plasma to cut out the fill bung and the diff cover. Here it is compared to the sewer cap.

I used to make knuckle butter that way for our usgi vehicles, now I will just buy the oo grease from lawnmower shop,is cheap and local for me plus less mess
Wow I see why the sewer cap works, don't think we can do that
Swapping the whole thing from swivel housing is super fast
Reinstalled drag link and swaybar. Lifted front end and checked for any tire wobble and of course there is!!! I know what the next project will be. Just replaced water pump, timing chain, fan and clutch from a water pump failure. I'm waiting on a harmonic balancer then I'll be back on the road.
Do I have to have an "x" amount of posts to list something in classifieds? I have a really nice set of jump seats I want to sell or trade.
