Default Rock sliders! And miscellaneous

This weekend I installed new custom rock sliders on my 01 disco. Installation went fairly easy. Had to grind out a small section towards rear tire in the body rail. Good angle drill, regular drill, one short and one long sharp drill bit and two jacks with blocks. Did it in a couple hours.

Also so removed and cleaned the blower motor. Was full of leaves and debris. Sounds quiet again!

replaced positive battery terminal end.

On the to do list:
re-do headliner (hopefully next weekend)
install cb, with body mount attenna. (Not sure location of radio or attenna yet)
install front winch
install lights: front bumper, roof front, roof side, roof rear, and rock lights. With custom switched. This has to wait until I get the roof rack.
Get and install a roof rack.
Make/ buy skid plates for underside. Including differentials

after this list I think I'll be done with the off road conversion. Mechanically she's running great. Have 04 cdl linkage and abs unit. Steel front and rear bumpers and rock sliders. 2" lift, all new all joints/track rod/drag link. 275/75 tires and more already done.

My friend flew in from back east. We took a 4 day excursion/ camping trip through NV-AZ-UT. Traveled almost 200 miles all off road. We had good weather until the last day. It dumped so much rain on us in the middle of the night, that The tent l shifted and went downhill about 3 feet. It leaked and was raining inside the damn thing. Good times. Truck did very well. Only a few minor hiccups. We had a bit of a tragedy. Pics below tell the story.

Driving up to the Thanksgiving family celebration, the rear door stuck again. I probably shouldn't have lubed it a week ago, I was banging on the plastic cover trying to get it ti work and cracked it. Grrr... on the way home, the left rear brake started to make noise...guess I should have changed brake pads last week. Got them done this morning

It's always something on these trucks!!

Forgot to put the hood pins back in when I left work last night. Luckily my new roof lights kept the windshield from breaking
