Default Greased the u-joints and Prop shafts

Greased the u-joints and prop shafts today. It was the first time I've done it since purchasing this Disco last Feb.
Wasn't too difficult. More tedious than anything, having to crawl out and move the Disco a couple inches forward to get the zero fittings where I could reach them. Had to do this about three times before I got the front ones where I could reach them. Then it was just a matter of removing the stubby zerk in the U-joint with a longer one, putting grease in then refitting the stubby zerk.
Got lucky one the rear prop shaft, the fittings were facing down when I first crawled under.
CHEERS!
Don

Changed oil to winter weight - Rotella 5w40 full synth and WIX 51515 oversized filter.
Changed transmission fluid - Valvoline Dex III/MERC. Last change was 3 years and 25k ago. Looked brownish red.

Installed my winter wheels w/Bridgestone DMV-2's. Just over 41k on them and they're almost down to the winter wear bars. The last season for this set, but they've held up amazingly well.
Next up.....need to replace the fluid in my diffs and transfer case.

Howdy all,

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago and have been getting some neglected maintenance done. Started off with a new battery. Replaced a faulty coolant temp sensor that was putting it in open fuel loop. Felt comfortable driving it at that point, but I had a little hesitation at highway speeds. I then did plugs, wires, oil and diff fluid front and rear. Got that all done and it is running great, but the moment I started it I realized it had an exhaust leak where the front muffler meets the y-pipe. Had to cut the old flange off and spent the next few days looking for a solution without welding. Put a split flange on it, still has a little exhaust leak but I can get it fixed as is I think. Going to try to do the bonnet release today as it's completely broken. Also managed to clear all the CELs which is a win.

Default Sagging headliner replaced today

Today, I took my '97 Disco in to the upholstery shop at 8am and they finished at 4pm. VERY happy with how it looks. No more sag.

So glad the sagging headliner is gone

seem as though I need to clean my sun visors!

denverdisco1,
They used new material. He ordered it Thursday locally here in Austin. Then told me to bring it in at 8am Friday and that it would be finished later that day.
I've used these guys for a couple other jobs and they've always done a great job.

Thumbs up I got one todayyyy

After many years on the fence, I finally got one. I was looking for a automotive project, haven't had one in several years. So I decided it was time to go brit, this 1995 cane up locally and it had enough wrong to be a "project" so I just drove it home. Visually wrong, someone hooked the fan directly, the main radiator hose looks very tires, the rear right window is off the rail, the tach is not working and the dash is lit like a christmas tree the driver wiper is not working. The car goes straight, shifts fine, lights, turn signals, ac, signals, horn work. First to sort out the fan issue, thermostat, hoses, pump or whatever the problem is. Then a service, plugs, wires and all the misc parts. I very mechanically inclined, but a british virgin for sure, so questions are definitely coming. I do like to search forums and all the youtube stuff.

Well guys that's my story, hi from socal.

The bay as it sits today

Inside

Sunroof and tired liner

Front, with a very old repaint. Original gold or champagne

Sexy rear
