Installed new fuel pump assembly. The wire from the float arm which informs the fuel gauge on the dash had broken.

Cleaned up some surface rust near the rear cargo door under the sill.

Bled the brakes (way overdue).

Added grease to the swivel *****.

Washed and waxed it.

Default Brakes

I been doing several things at once, including the sunroofs. But I’m doing the abs delete. But first I have to figure the fluid leak. Not the master cylinder or any other wheel cylinder. The booster is perfectly dry, so I went and removed the prop valve. Leaking out the back. Can you rebuild that, my guess no.

Need to get that sorted out, so the project can move forward or at least roll
Had a chance to edit, here is what 2/3 of the proportions valve looks like. I found one already. So I decided to look inside. I have yet to figure out how to take the plunger out(Maybe) a blind clip.

Now that’s nasty, took years to get like that.

The piece in the center is metal that’s were the springs fits. The plunger behind it, I can’t see how to remove it, from there is we’re the fluid leaks out.

Default Rear area prep

Worked on the back, to try to nail down all the measurements for the cabinets. The thing is almost rust free everywhere. I did some measuring to get the brake lines nice and neat.

The horror, I seen many YouTube videos about stuff like that. Funny is that you don’t see it from the outside.

Default Parts hunt

After many years with out ,a pick your part visit. I did a search and found a 95 disco 1 5 speed, so two days later I stop to do a recon. The vehicle wasn’t there anymore, a automatic was there.

Complete, so we left the plan was to return in the afternoon. My wife used the allocated time plus 2hrs. They close at 5pm, I knew it was going to take me a day or two to get back. Meanwhile I got sick, the flu. But today I went in anyway, the disco was 99.9 complete still.

What I really needed was headlight and turn signal lens. The proportioning valve, to verify that’s the problem, the master cylinder a spare rebuild. The intake rubber is super soft( not sure why). I didn’t have a shroud, a done light and good reverse lens.

More importantly, more spare sunroof parts. What’s nuts is that the lower sunroof frame was rusted( all the screws) were spinning the riv-nut yet the drain plastic thingys are perfect Also grabbed the booster valve and tube, spares.

Now I’m putting everything away because I’m beat. Lastly the crappy tools you see there, freebies that others forgot.

The haul

Check those clean drains

Headlight and turn signal have bulbs.
