Default Steering Question

My power steering is not leaking, not making any noises and seems to be working correctly until I slow to almost a dead stop to make a turn and then it takes everything I have to turn the steering wheel. Makes turning into a parking spot almost impossible. Any ideas on what might be going on?

PS pump bad would be my vote. There seem to be some Chevy conversions for this as well. You could verify the rpm/fight the wheel method in a safe area by coasting at speed, which would allow engine to go to idle, where power steering is lost. In other words, it is rpm rather than speed dependent.

Just powerslide that truck like some of the TV commercials...
