Weird Shifting/Brake Sensor Issue
Ok great. Mine says 1999 on the title too but the date of.manufacture in the door jam says 7/98. So.should I be buying parts for a 1999 or 1998? Are 1998 parts interchangeable?
98 99 are same same, no diff. Not so with a 2020 Chevy Blazer which you should own. Other than the park lock feature melted bulb sockets from long ago and far away do the same until LED’s eradicated that problem. High heat and amperage caused by incandescent bulbs melt the sockets, bulb holders and warp the metal tabs of all makes, it’s not unique to Rover. 21 years is a solid run. If you can find LED equivalent bulbs they would last even longer.

I took it out and re-seated the bulb in the socket and secured it again into the frane and now it seems to.be working more consistently but now I don't trust it.
It seems like the bulb isn't fitting snugly in the socket so maybe it is moving around and losing contact? Anything I can do to makr it fit more snugly?
