where is the iac???

Default where is the iac???

Can someone please tell me where my iac is located at? I am new to rovers and have not got around to getting a repair book for it yet.

You should put your vehicle information in your signature to help out troubleshooting in the future.

You can also download the RAVE manual for free to look things up.

If you've got a V8 D1, it's on the right side of the engine on the plenum side of the MAF. Two small bolts, stock one has a paper gasket. Don't lose it when you take it off. The replacement is pretty cheap and available at local auto parts stores...comes with a rubber o-ring.

Sorry about that. yeah its a D1. Im gonna try and pull it off tonight and clean it up. Where would i download the rave manual from?

FYI, the location of the IACV (stepper motor) varies depending on whether the DI is GEMS or Lucas 14CUX.

1994-95 Lucas 14CUX has the IACV on the passenger side, rear of the plenum.

1996-1999 GEMS has the IACV on the throttle body portion of the plenum next to the TPS just like Keoni says.
